Before your session, I'll send a Welcome and Style Guide to help you feel prepared, along with a questionnaire so I can get to know your preferences, style, and any meaningful details you'd like to include.
On the session day, I'll guide you with a relaxed, natural approach, creating space for genuine connection while offering gentle direction along the way. It's a blend of thoughtful posing and heartfelt, unscripted moments that allows your family's love to shine through effortlessly.

An outdoor setting is a beautiful and playful way to photograph your family in this season of life.
Studio Sessions
The downtown Lynchburg studio is light, airy, and set up in a lifestyle setting. If you want an indoor location, but don't feel your home is the best option, this is the perfect alternative!

Additional Information
I will bring everything we need for your session except for you, your family and the basics (like snacks or your child's favorite toy to help them smile).
For newborns, I will bring a plethora of swaddles, bows, and props.
Milestones do not include special cake smash decor. Contract me to talk cake smash details!

FAQ
Do you retouch images?
I will retouch skin imperfections such as: acne, blemishes, bruises, etc. That said, I won't alter permanent features such as face shape, weight, or other physical traits. If there's something you're feeling self-conscious about, just let me know. I'll be extra mindful with posing and camera angles to help you feel confident and at ease in every frame.
How do payment schedules work?
For half and full sessions, I require a $100 retainer upon the signing of the contract. The remaining amount is due the day of our session.
What if there is bad weather?
In the event of severe weather, rain, or low light, I'll be in touch (typically with at least 6 hours notice) to reschedule your session. Since I work exclusively with natural light, having enough sunlight is key to ensuring the quality and look of your images.
Can we take photos in our home?
Absolutely! I love in-home sessions. However, it's important that you have an abundance of natural light. I will ask you to send some photos of your home around our scheduled session time so that I can see if it will work!
Will my images be shared online?
While I do reserve the right to share images on my website and social media, I always want to respect your wishes. If you'd prefer that your images remain private, just let me know; I'm more than happy to honor that.
When is the best time to schedule maternity photos?
Every mama-to-be carries a little differently, but as a general rule, I recommend scheduling your maternity session between 28-33 weeks. By then, you'll have that beautiful baby bump to show off while still feeling comfortable, energized, and able to move with ease.
What's the best time to have a session with a newborn?
Newborns are best photographed between 5-14 days old. Please, please, please schedule before your baby is born to ensure we can take our photos at the prime time.
